Montes uses first-class cowhide leather and chrome-free vegetable dyes, in line with ethical values. The leathers are carefully cleaned, dehaired, and preserved with salt; then dyed with oak gall, quebracho, mimosa, and chestnut bark tannins to gain durability, flexibility, and rich color. The leathers are left as natural as possible, semi-finished in the tannery, and hand-dyed with natural dyes. It offers a bright, long-lasting surface.
