Montes uses first-class cowhides and chromium-free vegetable dyeing in accordance with ethical values. The leathers are carefully cleaned, dehaired, and preserved with salt; then they are dyed with oak acorn, quebracho, mimosa, and chestnut bark tannins to gain durability, flexibility, and rich color. The leathers are left as natural as possible, semi-finished at the tannery, and hand-dyed with natural dyes. It offers a bright, long-lasting surface.
